Industrial ventilation is a very important application to labours’ health.  Improper designs of ventilation systems may influence labours’s long term health. Currently, there are several special designs for ventilation devices.  However, only some of them were designed using fluid dynamics.  We have conducted simulations of a hood-capture flow and a push-pull ventilation system.    The push-pull air curtain has been applied to a chemical fume cupboard.  Those results can found in the following links.
